This is the first Christmas Tim and Lisa have ever spent with both of their families together under one roof. It could be explosive since Tim's upper income family objects to his marriage to Lisa, who comes from a religious farm family. There are plenty of tense and hilarious moments that put the young couple's marriage to the test. Besides the obvious friction between the parents, a nosy neighbor and her henpecked husband are on the lookout for any signs of crime, and eccentric Grandma and Grandpa arrive having just escaped from their nursing home. Then add Lisa's somewhat ditzy sister and her redneck boyfriend along with Tim's yuppie sister and brother-in-law and their brainy son. When it seems things can't get any worse, they realize they are all snowed in together! An answer to family healing is found when Joe and his very pregnant wife Ann become stranded. The events that follow remind everyone what Christmas and family togetherness truly mean. Performance time: 60 minutes.
See this hilarious family again in the sequel “Frantic Family Vacation.”
