Edith Weiss has a master's degree in educational theater from NYU. She toured for fifteen years as a stand-up comedian, traveling coast to coast and also overseas for the troops in the Balkans, Korea and Japan. She is the author of over 20 children's plays and murder mysteries. "I like writing funny, fast paced theatre". Her plays have been produced world wide.
Working with PHAMALY, the Physically Handicapped Actor's League, she is the director and head writer for the Vox series, original shows about living with disabilities co written and performed by those who have them.
Her short adult plays have been admitted into competitions in Boston, New York, Kansas City and Chicago.
